Alexandra Freemire joins SG Collaborative Solutions™ as a Principal Collaborator with expertise in policy review and human resource alignment. Alex is an attorney licensed in the State of Maryland, a trained mediator, and an experienced human resource professional. She has focused her work over the past year on the integration of Just Culture principles into Human Resource practice, particularly in the area of policy alignment and employee/labor relations support for organizations beginning their collaborative journeys.
Alex is also a certified Just Culture Champion and comes to us most recently from Outcome Engenuity, LLC where she was the Technical Advisor, HR Practice.
Alex’s primary experience with HR is in healthcare, having spent years as the Employee Relations & Compliance Specialist at a Washington, D.C. metro area hospital prior to and during their Just Culture integration process. She has managed hundreds of unemployment cases with a success rate significantly above area averages and has aided in organizational responses to inquiries from EEOC, OCR, and the NLRB. Alex has also managed internal employee grievance procedures and is familiar with the challenges that both employees and organizations face in these often stressful circumstances. In an attempt to ease and clarify leadership/employee communications and all of the formal processes that stem therefrom, she has begun to develop disciplinary, performance improvement, and grievance materials to aid organizations in clearly and fairly communicating their expectations to employees and any third party review bodies.
Most importantly, Alex’s passion is rooted in her desire to support organizational optimization while ensuring employee dignity at every level of staff and leadership. Alex believes that an aligned HR department has the ability to enhance and accelerate the collaborative process to the benefit of all employees, the organization, and the community.
As a Principal Collaborator, Alex is able to offer a wide range of support to SGCS clients beginning with initial policy review and alignment, analysis of HR practices and documents, training in supportive coaching and counselling techniques, document maintenance recommendations for HR & leadership, and supportive case by case consultation as organizations gain confidence in their new HR practices. Alex is uniquely talented in her ability to support clients across industries in establishing a solid foundation on which to begin their collaborative journey and remains an available asset to all SGCS clients throughout the collaborative process. Alex is also an engaging, energetic, and fun trainer and is able to work with both staff and leadership to support all aspects of the SG Collaborative plan.
Alex is an honors graduate of both Kenyon College, from which she holds her Bachelor of Arts, and the University of Maryland School of Law from which she was awarded her Juris Doctor. Shortly, she will also be beginning the process of earning her master degree in organizational psychology to further support our clients. Alex has been a member of the Maryland State Bar since December 2006, maintaining an active license, and has also completed graduate level course work in theology and pastoral counseling.
